Pura Ulun Danu

Pura Ulun Danu is an amazing temple built to honor the beloved goddess Danu – who, in the Balinese language, means “lake”. Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary

 Welcome to the Mandala Suci Wenara Wana, known to many as Ubud Monkey Forest! Home to the beautiful Balinese long-tailed macaques, this sanctuary is located in Padangtegal Ubud, Bali. The forest is home to approximately 1,260 monkeys, who are split into 10 different groups. We also divide the monkeys by age to ensure that the entire group is healthy and thriving.

Ubud Monkey Forest is a popular tourist destination, with around 10,000-15,000 visitors visiting every month. Not only is it a great place to observe the macaques, but there is also a huge variety of plants and trees, with 186 species spanning 12.5 hectares of forest. Furthermore, within the forest are three temples – Dalem Agung Padangtegal Temple, Holy Spring Temple and Prajapati Temple are miraculously beautiful places in Bali.
