India’s batsmen put on an impressive display as they posted a score of 228 runs in just 20 overs, losing just 5 wickets in the process. Ishan Kishan got off to a disappointing start, scoring just 1 run in 2 deliveries, but Surya Kumar Yadav was undeterred and smashed another century to remain unbeaten. Shubman Gill, Tripathi, and Axar all contributed to the total, scoring 46, 35, and 21 respectively.
Pandya and Deepak Hooda could not do much, only managing 4 runs each before throwing their wickets away. Unfortunately, no other batters from the Sri Lankan team were able to make much impact, and they were all out by the 16.4th over, with a total of 137 runs.
The Indian bowlers were outstanding in this match, providing breakthroughs at regular intervals. Arshdeep Singh was the star of the show, taking 3 wickets, while Umran Malik proved to be the most expensive bowler in the second innings, but still managed to take 2 valuable wickets. Axar Patel has been named Man of the Series! He’s been on fire for the Indian team, both with the bat and ball. In the first match, he smashed 31 runs in 20 balls and teamed up with Deepak Hooda to get the win. In the second T20, he scored an impressive 65 runs in 31 balls and bagged two wickets by giving just 24 runs in 4 overs – amazing!
